The Last Candle's wayward, imaginative, short-tempered sibling :: RSS
Big Country’s Wonderland, from the EP of the same name.
The EP and earlier full album, The Crossing, which features the band’s most popular song, are both much enjoyed in my homestead.
Photographers Denied the Freedom To Choose What They Photograph
A woman photographer is fined under New Mexico anti-discrimination law after refusing to shoot a same-sex couple’s wedding. That’s New Mexico, of the United States, not a recent part of Mexico. I make the distinction because the story seemed so outlandish that at first I didn’t believe it took place in the USA.

Pat Metheny Group’s “Last Train Home,” one of my favorites. (Related, somewhat: Truffaut’s The Last Metro.)
Braid Soundtrack
Music from the game, by a choice few excellent musicians. All tracks (and musicians, and musicians’ albums) are recommended, except perhaps the remixes.

Shadow the Colossus movie in development
Script by Justin Marks, writer of the recent game movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which currently has an aggregate rating of 17 out of 100 on Metacritic. Now we just get to see what director will take the helm and plow this sucker straight into the rocks.
Aspects of game include long sequences of silence, isolation, despair, and giant, multi-story, hulking monsters made out of stone, wood and hair. My guess is that only the monsters will make it into the film adaptation.
Via the Shack, where a lot of justifiable rage is being spent.
Good Math, Bad Math :: More Deceptive Graphs: Scales Matter
A particularly odious case of misrepresenting data.
